The most recent addition to our services is the ability to locate mobiles from a SMS (text message).

This means you will be able to monitor your staff, simply by telling them to send in a text message once they reach their place of work, allowing you to see if they really were at work and what time they got there!

How It Works

This facility typically requires somebody to send a premium rate text message to a 'Short Code', for which they are charged (usually between 10p - 50p). This text message 'opens a gateway' allowing the location of the mobile to be determined.

The location is determined by triangulation from the mobile network's base stations. This means the accuracy varies from one location to another, and at a given location, one network might offer better performance than another. (Sourcing the location of mobiles under other circumstances is strictly controlled by legislation.)

The location of the mobile is logged by our servers as longitude, latitude and time. The data can later be delivered in formats depending on your requirements.

We have developed our service with the three main aims; simplicity, usability and minimal costs, to ensure that it can be implemented in businesses of all sizes.
