We have a large library of POIs which anyone can visit at anytime, using a PC or Mobile. Users can view locations on a Google Map and download any number of POIs for free, in the format of their choice.

Locations

When creating a POI file we start by adding the details of your locations to our database.

The POI can hold a small amount of information about particular locations. This information will normally consist of the address and the phone number of the particular location, but you can leave messages for your users in these fields instead.
In some cases where you have existing information in a database we can convert your existing information into a POI if the information is in a useable format, preferably Excel/.csv format.

We then go on to work out the coordinates for the locations, we do this manually and check each location twice(!) rather than just working out the locations using postcodes which is not alway accurate enough when marking locations outside of built up areas.

We allow you to check the locations before we begin to distribute the files, to ensure you are entirely happy with them.

Markers

Once we have added the information we create the markers used to identify the individual locations*.

These markers can be inspired by your company logo or we can create generic images to suit you circumstances.

Text File

A text file is created and is placed inside the file downloaded by the user.

This file contains brief information about the POI file including the date it was created/ last modified, area coverd (UK for example). In addition to this some space is left aside where you can leave a message for users.

Dedicated Page

We can create a dedicated page on our site for you which only contains information about your company.

A dedicated page provides the user with some information about the POI file;

1. When it was made/ last modified
2. The number of locations
3. A link to your website
4. Links to the POIs in all formats
5. Some space is left aside for you to leave a messages for users

These Maps also come with a cool range of features, like when a marker is clicked on, a small 'speach bubble' appears, this is called an 'Infowindow'. Infowindows allow you to leave location specific messages like this!, you can also add pictures!

Users can zoom in and out of locations and view the map in different formats in order to be able to get as much as possible out of the map.

Our infowindows can also be used to get turn by turn driving directions to your location.**

These features can also be found on the fullscreen maps.

Distribution

We can help you distribute your POI file in a number of different ways depending on your requirements. These methods include...

1. In our Online Library
2. On a Dedicated page
3. We can email the POI files to people you have nominated.
4. They can be installed on CDs or SD cards which can be plugged into a large number of Sat-nav devices.
5. We can also provide the POIs pre-installed on Navigational devices.

Maintenace Service

Our Maintenance service covers the cost of adding your POI to our online library (both on the website and on mobile site) and keeping your dedicated page online. This service will also allow you to make the following changes if needed...

1. Change of Marker
2. Addition, subtraction and editing of specific locations (these changes can usually be done within 24 hours of notification)
3. Change of messages (on dedicated page and in text file)

5. Our Mobile site has been optimised for use with mobile phones and PDAs, this means users can download your POI when they are 'Out and about' install the POI and visit one of your locations when cant get to a PC first.***


6. You can provide links to your POI file on our server from your website allowing users to get the latest version of your POI file without having to upload the file to your server each time its updated.
